Dear Parents/Carers,
Re: Nursery trip to Deen City Farm
This term’s topic is ‘Legendary Beasts and Curious Creatures’ and we have been learning about different animals and minibeasts. To further children’s knowledge and to celebrate our learning, we will visit Deen City Farm and have a self-guided tour. The children will be able to see and feed different animals and learn more about them. If you DO NOT wish for your child to feed the animals please inform your child's teacher.
Trip details
Group 2: Wednesday 20th May 2026
We are only able to obtain transport in the morning so are asking PM children to arrive in the morning at 10am and stay for the rest of the afternoon.
We will travel from school by minibus. We will spend an hour at the location and return to school via minibus. The minibus will leave at 10:30am and will return at 12:30pm.
Trip cost
The cost of the trip is £1 per child and we are asking families to contribute towards the overall cost via ParentPay. These trips rely on voluntary contributions from families to cover the overall cost as well as your support to make them possible – please note that if we are unable to secure sufficient contributions, regrettably the trip may not go ahead. With this in mind, if you would like to contribute more towards the trip, then this would be very much appreciated. If you have any questions about payment, please speak to the school office.
Things you need to know
Full time children who pay for a school meal will be provided with a packed lunch. Please read the Pre-Order form emailed to you for information on choices available and allergens before making your choices on the consent form below.
PM children will need to bring in a packed lunch (NO NUTS). Please bring this in a labelled bag.
School uniform and sensible shoes should be worn on the day. As this is an outdoor trip, please provide a suitable raincoat in case of poor weather conditions.
We have a limited number of spaces for parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer for the morning, please inform the class teacher and select the option on the consent form.
