Reception - Morden Hall Park Trip

Dear Parents/Carers,

Re: Reception Trip to Morden Hall Park

This term’s topic is ‘All Things Great and Small’ and we have been learning about different animals and their habitats.

To further children’s knowledge and to celebrate our learning, we will visit Morden Hall Park and have a guided session all about minibeasts. The children will be able to experience finding minibeasts in their natural environment, catching them and looking at them closely to learn more about them.

Trip dates

Both Reception Classes: Thursday 11 July 2024

We will leave school at 9:15am. We will travel from Tooting Broadway tube station to Morden tube station. We will have two separate guided sessions for each class and then leave the park at approximately 2:30pm.

All children in Reception are entitled to a free school meal and will be provided with a packed lunch. Please read the attached Pre-Order Form for information on the choices available and allergens, before making your choices on the online consent form. Please note that this will be your child’s packed lunch choice for all trips this academic year. You will need to provide a bottle of water for your child to have with their packed lunch.

School uniform and sensible shoes should be worn on the day and children will need a rucksack in order to carry a water bottle and their packed lunch.

We require parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer for the morning, please inform the class teacher and select the option on the consent form.

Please follow the link below to our school website to complete the consent form for your child to take part in this trip.
