Year 3 and Year 4 Trip to Petworth House - Friday 25th September 2026

We are delighted to be taking the children to Petworth as part of our geography learning 'What is West Sussex like?'. The children will be going to Petworth National Trust House, visiting the local market town and exploring the gardens.

 The day

Children arrive at school.

8:00am

Depart school on coach for Petworth.

Approx. 9:30am

Arrive at Petworth House

9:30-2:30pm

Activities to explore the town, house, lunch and playtime.

2:30pm

Depart Petworth

Approx 4:00pm

Arrive back at Sellincourt. This will be approximate and you will be updated on the day via text if this will be any later.

Payment

The payment is £6 per child 

Although we are fundraising for the trip and FOSSIES are supporting with the cost of the coaches, the remaining payment is £6 per child. If you would like to contribute more to the overall cost of the visit to ensure that every child can participate we would be very grateful.

To pay for this trip please:

  1. a) Log into your parent pay account and go to your home page
  2. b) Scroll down and double click on the yellow bar that says ‘pay for other items'
  3. c) Click view on the item and follow the on screen instructions

 What to bring

Children are to wear their school uniform but can wear trainers as we will be doing lots of walking and the park may be muddy. Children must also bring a waterproof coat in case the weather is wet.  

All children in Year 3 and 4 are entitled to a free packed lunch which will be provided by school. Please read the information on the choices available and allergens sent to you by email, before making your choice on the consent form below.

Please note that this will be your child’s packed lunch choice for all trips this academic year. You will need to provide a bottle of water for your child to have with their packed lunch.

Your child will also need a rucksack to carry their own lunch and water bottle.

Parent Volunteers

We will require parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer for the day, please select the option on the consent form. Please see the Parent Volunteer Agreement. Your child’s class teacher will confirm with you if you will be supporting the trip.
