Year 5 Trip to Burntwood School for Author Chris Riddell and Paul Stewart Visit

On Monday 14th September in partnership with MacMillan and Waterstones we have arranged for Year 5 to join celebrated authors Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell at Burntwood School for an inspiring event to encourage a love of reading. The session will feature a spectacular live drawing during the session and pupils will hear Paul and chris speak about their books in 'The Edge Chronicles' series.

We will leave school at 9.45am with arrival at Burntwood School for 10.30am. We will travel by bus. The children will take part in the author event before returning to school for lunchtime at 12.45pm. Therefore, children DO NOT need to bring in a packed lunch.

School uniform and sensible shoes should be worn.

There is also the opportunity to purchase a copy of one of their books. The authors will sign and dedicate this to your child in advance of the event. A follow up letter will be sent in September with the order form, should you wish to purchase this.

We require parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer for the morning, please inform the class teacher and select the option on the consent form.
