Homework
Early Years (Nursery and Reception)
Teachers will set homework tasks via Tapestry. These will be practical activities known as ‘Exciting Experiences’. They will be set on Tapestry on a Friday to be completed sometime over the following week. The teachers challenge pupils to upload their experiences onto Tapestry to share with their teacher. The first ‘Exciting Experience’ will be ready on Friday 25th September. All children receive Book Circle homework which includes a story to read and enjoy. Reception classes also share a video link for the phonic sounds that the children have learnt that week as well as a reading book according to their reading ability.

Year 1 to Year 6
Homework is set in children's homework books. This will consist of either a maths or literacy based task and a set of spellings, which the children will be assessed on. Once per theme, the children will be set a homework project too. Homework is set on a Thursday and required back on a Monday. In addition to set homework, children should be reading at home every evening - and a written comment (by a parent/guardian or the child themselves) recorded in their reading record. Times Table Rockstars and Numbots should also be accessed regularly at home in order to practise maths facts. The log in details for these websites can be found in your child's reading record.
