Reception Trip to Morden Hall Park

Dear Parents/Carers,

Re:  Reception Trip to Morden Hall Park

This term’s topic is ‘Courageous Creatures and Me’ and we have been learning about different animals and their habitats. To further children’s knowledge and to celebrate our learning, we will visit Morden Hall Park and have a guided session all about minibeasts. The children will be able to experience finding minibeasts in their natural environment, catching them and looking at them closely to learn more about them.

Trip details

Both Reception Classes: Friday 18th July 2025

We will leave school at 9:15am. We will travel from Tooting Broadway tube station to Morden tube station. We will have two separate guided sessions for each class and then leave the park at approximately 2:30pm.

Trip cost

The cost of the trip is £140 which is £2.40 per child and we are asking families to contribute towards the overall cost via ParentPay. These trips rely on voluntary contributions from families to cover the overall cost as well as your support to make them possible – please note that if we are unable to secure sufficient contributions, regrettably the trip may not go ahead. With this in mind, if you would like to contribute more towards the trip, then this would be very much appreciated. If you have any questions about payment, please speak to the school office.

Things you need to know

All children in Reception are entitled to a free school meal and will be provided with a packed lunch. Please read the attached Pre-Order Form for information on the choices available and allergens, before making your choices on the online consent form. You will need to provide a bottle of water for your child to have with their packed lunch.

School uniform and sensible shoes should be worn on the day and children will need a rucksack in order to carry a water bottle and their packed lunch.

We require parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer for the morning, please inform the class teacher and select the option on the consent form.

Please complete the consent form below for your child to take part in this trip.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Campbell
